GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This website is owned and operated by Rachel Perry, t/a Rachel Perry Costume (“Rachel Perry Costume”, “RPC”, “we” or “us”) of Unit 4, Four Oaks Farm Workshops, Hundred Acre Lane, Streat, Hassocks, BN6 8SH
By visiting out site and/or purchasing products from this website you engage in our Service as a User of the site and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as laid out below, without limitation or qualification and they form a binding agreement between you and RPC. Users of the site include, but are not limited to those browsing, merchants or vendors. All purchases are subject to any applicable laws and regulations and these terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time without notice. Terms & Conditions will be posted online and are available via email on request.

Please note all Dance, Gymnastics, Performance wear and Costumes produced by us are designed for training, exam, stage or film use only.
Ordering & Payment
By placing your order, you, the customer, takes responsibility for ensuring contact details provided are correct. Orders can be placed by creating a secure account or checking out as a guest and paid for using a debit/credit card or a PayPal account. An order confirmation email will be sent out once the order is placed and will be updated to inform you of your tracking details once posted.
We usually aim to dispatch your order within 10 days of receiving it. This may be subject to delays if items or fabrics are not in stock and require ordering in. Any additional delays caused by suppliers or couriers are outside of our control and we will do our best to complete each order as quickly as possible following such delays. From time to time the volume of orders may also impact on the dispatch order timeframe. RPC will do our best to ensure this is updated in these terms so as to keep the customer fully informed and aware before purchasing. If your order has a specific deadline to meet we strongly advise contacting us in advance of placing your order to avoid any potential delays.
2024 LATEST [13/02/2024]: RPC is at full capacity for bespoke and custom orders until July 2024. The current turnaround for uniforms is 3 weeks, with a dispatch aim of 12 – 15 working days as all RPC dancewear is made to order by Rachel. Please get in touch if your require your order for a specific date so we can advise if this is achievable or not.
There is currently a six item limit when placing orders. This is to enable us to complete orders in as timely fashion as possible. For orders larger than six please email email@example.com directly to organise a completion date. This will be reviewed from time to time and we reserve the right to increase or decrease this limit at any time without notice.
Custom Costumes/Bespoke Orders
There are a limited number of custom orders we can take on at any one time and all custom orders are priced individually. If we do not have a suitable fabric in stock additional charges will apply if we need to order any in, this includes sampling and any postage charges. You can email RPC on firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your design idea and timeframe however all custom orders are subject to a consultation and design fee of £15 which you can purchase here. This is to cover the time put into preparing for your custom order. Should you chose to go ahead this will then be refunded against final cost. A deposit of 50% is payable in advance to confirm your order with the final balance due in advance of dispatch or collection. Payment for custom orders is via BACS transfer on receipt of invoice. Once your order has been confirmed custom orders are not eligible for returns or refunds. Measurements and fit checks will ideally be done at the RPC studio by Rachel. Any bespoke orders not fitted in person that require alterations may be subject to additional charges. All measurements and fit checks at RPC studio are free of charge, we can come to you but the following charges will apply:

Design Ownership and Usage Rights
By engaging in any design-related services or projects with RPC, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms regarding design ownership and usage rights:
If a customer presents their own design for realisation in doing so they represent and warrant that they either own the rights to any provided designs or have obtained the necessary permissions to use and modify them.
Rachel Perry Costume reserves the right to use, display, and modify any designs created during the course of the project for promotional and marketing purposes, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
The customer is granted a non-exclusive license to use the final designs solely for the intended purpose outlined in the project agreement.
Transfer of Rights:
Upon full payment of the agreed-upon fees, Rachel Perry Costume transfers the ownership rights of the final designs to the customer.
Indemnification: The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Rachel Perry Costume harmless against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the unauthorized use of designs provided by the customer.
From time to time we may release discount coupons. These have no monetary value and may only be used on the RPC website. Coupons expiry date will depend on any promotion they are linked with.
The coupon printed in the Drusilla Duffill Theatre School 2022 dance show ‘Footnotes’ programme gives a 15% discount to your order. Coupon may only be used once per customer. Discount does not apply to postage costs. Coupon expires 31.12.2023
Submissions and Competition Entries
If, at the request of RPC you send specified submissions, for example competition entries, or without a direct request submit to us any creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether via any online platform, email or post including comments and reviews left on the RPC website you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We shall be under no obligation to maintain any comments in confidence; to pay compensation for any comments; or to respond to any comments. We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion to be unlawful, offensive, threatening, libellous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service. You agree that any comments made will not violate any right of any third-party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other personal or proprietary right. You further agree that your comments will not contain libellous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website. You are solely responsible for any comments you make and their accuracy. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any comments posted by you or any third-party.
At Rachel Perry Costume we work tirelessly to keep the website up to date. If any item is out of stock you will be notified, and we will do our best to complete your order as soon as possible.
RPC reserves its rights to reject or cancel any orders for the following reasons:
- Product out of stock / discontinued
- Fraudulent activity
- Pricing and descriptions error on the website outside of our control
- Incorrect address / outside of UK delivery request
- Incorrect billing information
- Force majeure
We do our best to make sure any information on the website is accurate and up to date. Despite these efforts information on our site may from time to time be incomplete or out of date. Whilst every care has been taken to ensure products are described correctly and images reflect the product, the colours seen can vary on different screens. Images may be for illustrative purposes only and from time to time packaging or the exact wording from suppliers may vary.

In the event of any price changes from our suppliers, including but not limited to fabric, haberdashery and delivery services, we reserve the right to adjust any prices accordingly with immediate effect.
Delivery & Returns
We offer a choice of delivery services and all our parcels are sent via Royal Mail Tracked delivery as standard. All postage costs include a small packaging fee.
Tracked 48 (Aims to deliver in two to three working days) at a standard rate of £4.99
Tracked 24 (Next working day delivery aim) at a standard rate of £5.99
As the majority of products are made to order please note that the time frame between placing and receiving your order will include both manufacturing and delivery time. Orders will be posted out promptly once completed. Please see the Ordering & Payment section for the most up to date turnaround timings. Orders are usually posted out twice a week. From time to time this may be reduced to once a week. During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic RPC reserves the right to change to a reduced postal service on a week by week basis depending on government guidelines.
Collection from the studio is by appointment only. This option is usually available at specific times Wednesday – Friday. Please note that this is subject to change at short notice on a weekly basis due to external commitments and Covid-19 restrictions.
We do not currently ship to the USA.

Customers are responsible for ensuring delivery address details are correct.
You may return eligible items for a refund of the goods only within 28 days of receipt of the products. Delivery charges for orders that have been dispatched are excluded from all refunds. Please check your items are eligible for return and follow the returns process set out below. The cost of returning unwanted items is to be paid for by you.
For faulty or incorrect items shipped the returns costs will be reimbursed by us if on receipt the items meet the eligibility criteria.
To return an unwanted item please contact RPC within 14 days of delivery and return within 28 days. The Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked or signed for service as we do not accept responsibility for misplaced or lost parcels.

If you wish to exchange your order simply place an order for the required replacement products and then following the returns process return your original order to us for a refund.
Unwanted items must be returned in a re-saleable, unworn state, with labels attached. They must be free from makeup and deodorant marks, pet hair and in their original packaging.
- Items that cannot meet the above conditions.
- For hygiene reasons we are also unable to accept returns of any tights or underwear.
- Custom orders and items made to personal specifications, including studio dancewear and competition costumes, are not eligible for returns or refunds
- If a custom or personalised order is damaged it will be considered for a partial or full refund. However, if on inspection the item is damaged due to it having been worn then it will be considered an ineligible item.
